My Friend Is Leaving...

My awesome friend, Whitney, is moving to Pennsylvania... so so so sad! I'm going to miss her so very much. I'm sure it's going to be a great adventure and a wonderful change for the whole family. I just wish it wasn't so freaking far away!
At least I'll have an excuse to finally go to the East Coast, and I can't wait for our Girls Weekend in New York!

Teenagers

Yikes! I took up the daunting task of taking my 16 year old brother and three of his friends to Portland to go to a metal concert (which was excellent, by the way), and today being the day after... I am sitting here in the hotel room trying to wake them up, which has prooved to be an even bigger task! This won't happen again for a long long time, I'm seriously exhausted. I am definitely not ready to have 16 year olds, ha, or even spend 3 days with them all by myself!

Lesson 1

I am so excited! I have completed my first lesson in Russian! I can already say...

A New Language

Last night I was reviewing my list of things I want to learn how to do, and since speaking another language has always been toward the top, I decided to go for it. I ordered a system online from www.pimsleurapproach.com. It was about $20 for 8 lessons. I'm so excited to begin. I hope to be speaking Russian, or at least be able to communicate a little bit, very soon. There is a greater reason I chose the Russian language to learn, but that's a different day, and a different blog. For now I will just say that this is my first step to doing something great, and I can't wait to be able to share it.

Beautiful Day

This weather makes me long for summer... warm sun, crisp air, and not a single cloud in the sky.

It's only the end of February, so I'm sure it'll get cold again soon. I just wish it wouldn't have to, I'm enjoying it so much.
